La Gruta I and II are located approx 500 meters from Becerro Manso and five minutes by boat. It is a very large horse shoe shaped reef with two large arches. The bizarre rock formations of this dive make it a very interesting site. It is an area of many canyons strewn with enormous stones and with a sandy bottom. The maximum depth is only 12 meters but due to its complex nature, it is essential to go with a guide who knows this area.
The entire area is covered with various types of algae, and with very few Sea Urchins. Here can be found Guelly Jacks, Barracuda, Sea Bream of all types, Stingrays Groupers, Trigger Fish, the occasional Scribbled File Fish, Morays Octopus, and Eagle Rays. This area is recommended for all levels of experience, due to the fact that it is not very deep, depending on the route taken it can be a simple dive or a much more complicated one.
