Close to the northwest coast of Fuerteventura is the Isle of Lobos. And only ten minutes from the island by boat is the dive site named Marrajo. It is an eight shaped reef with a maximum depth of 14 meters. Here you can find many Groupers, Octopus, Morays, Angel Sharks and Stingrays. As well as Eagle Rays, Guelly Jacks, Bream, Mullet, Blacktail Combers and the occasional Canarian Lobster. This area is perfect for novice as well as experienced divers but currents can be strong at times. The recommended route to follow is around the profile if the figure eight and back again to the point where you started.
