El Barbudo is situated on the outskirts of the Las Calmas zone just below the old meridian data line. The seabed is a huge labyrinth of volcanic rocks, made up of canals, crevices, peaks and drops that go down to great depths.

Seaweed completely covers the surface of the rocks with groups of parrotfish, white bream and queen triggerfish. Over the rocks and crevices you often find the odd dusky grouper and porcupine fish. You will be surprise by some free-swimming manta-rays and turtles.
